St. George and HSM 2

This last weekend we went to visit my parents in St. George. We went swimming, hiking, and of course shopping. It was fun to get away and spend time with my parents.

We got to climb on top of this turtle shaped rock and go in some of the "caves". There are actually turtles living in this area. Maybe they made this rock formation. :)

My parents live in the golf community where High School Musical 2 was filmed. The kids love going swimming at the club house. As soon as we got to the pool the kids got really excited and started jumping up and down. Aubrey wanted to go sit in the chair that Sharpay sat in. My favorite part of the pool is the waterfall.

Feeding the Quack Quacks!

One of the animals Madelyn knows very well is the duck. She knows what they look like and what sound they make. When we found out Isaac's preschool class would be going to feed the ducks Madelyn was very excited! Isaac was even more excited and couldn't wait to go. The park we went to was really nice. It had a playground with a pond and trails all over the place. First they got to play on the playground and then everyone got to go feed the ducks. The minute Madelyn saw the ducks she squealed with delight. Isaac's class then went on a nature walk and went on a letter B scavenger hunt. They ended the day with a snack (Isaac's favorite thing). It was a very fun day and I enjoyed watching Maddie, Tavin, and Isaac with the ducks.

Babies!

Congratulations to Casey and Jeff on their very very cute new twins. We got to go visit Sophie in the hospital and the kids can't wait to meet Breanne (she is home from the hospital and doing very well). We also want to say Congratulations to my cousin Teresa and Steve on their new little girl. Here are some pictures of our visit to the hospital.

We love you Casey and Jeff!

We will be thinking about you tomorrow (As soon as we wake up. Not at 5:00am.) We love you!

Soccer and more soccer

I thought I would share a few pictures from Aubrey's first game (which they won). She looks so cute, even though her uniform is way too big.

Nick and I were able to go to a REAL game last weekend. It was tons of fun, mostly because they won.

Nick is going to love me for posting this picture. Very cute! This is a picture of one of my favorite players Andy Williams (in red). He is such a great all around player and reminds me of . . . me. :)This is Nick REAL's goalie. This kids like him because his name is the same as their Dad's.Kellie didn't know that I was going to take a picture of her. She looks cute anyways! This is the only reason my children ever want to go to soccer games. The Lion and his motorcycle is something they actually pay attention to. This picture is for them.

Gardening and Canning

This year we were extremely blessed with a garden that wouldn't stop growing. Because we have so much I decided that I should probably do some canning. We planted tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cantaloupe, peppers, and pumpkins and they all have done extremely well (it looks like a jungle now because everything has gotten so big). Today Amy came over and taught me how to make and can salsa (thanks!) and I would really love to do tomatoes and maybe some spaghetti sauce.

I have no idea how our peppers got this big. They look like something you buy from the store. Our tomatoes got huge! The one next to the big one is what a normal size tomato looks like. (This isn't the greatest picture.)Yeah! They all sealed! Thanks again Amy.

We have 6 good sized pumpkins and about 15-20 cantaloupes that are growing still. I can't wait to try the cantaloupes. Next year I want to do even more!!

First Day!

I can't believe my little boy is old enough to go to preschool and will be in Kindergarten next year. He was so excited to start yesterday! He was up and dressed by 7:00am and preschool doesn't even start until 9:30am. He came home after and was still very excited and couldn't stop talking about everything that happened.
