Lucas and Hailey

Lucas LOVES his cousin Hailey, who is almost exactly a year younger. He loves to do what she does, share toys with her, find her ears, and give her loves. He is so sweet to her! Now if he could only be like that with everyone.

Christmas!!

Christmas Eve

This year we ate our usual Zuppa Toscana (it is usually that or rice and beans) and watched a movie about Christ. The kids then got to open their pajamas. Notice how Lucas thought they would look much better on his head. I was kind of disappointed that this was the best picture I could get of the kids. Oh well.

Christmas Singing

The Christmas sing at the school is always fun to go watch. Each grade sings two songs. Maddie's preschool sang lots of songs in their classroom since they technically aren't part of the elementary school. They all did a great job!

Happy Birthday Madelyn!

Happy Birthday to our soccer playing, ballet dancing, princess loving, kartwheel doing, constantly singing and giggling 5 year old. You bring so much joy and sunshine to our lives. We love you!

Lucas is 18 months (or was on December 18th)

Lucas is saying lots of words now. The ones I can think of right now are:
shoe
thank you
poopoo
no thank you
Grandpa
Elmo
nose
mouth
in there
more
ball
cookie
Mama/Mom
Dada/Dad (isn't he too young to be calling us Mom and Dad)
stinky
noodles
stop
vroom vroom
bubble
don't know
peek-a-boo

He knows what these animals say:
cow
kitty
dog
monkey
duck
bear

He can show you where his:
ears are
eyes are
mouth is
hair is
head is
toes are
nose is
teeth are
tongue is

He loves to dance, watch Elmo, and play with balls and trucks. He knows how to turn on and unlock Nick's phone and Ipad. He has been found several times with the Ipad watching a movie. He also likes to turn on the tv by himself and watch it at random times during the day. He LOVES yogurt and has to have one for lunch and before he goes to bed (he only wants Daddy to feed him). He also loves his baby cousin Hailey. He shares his toys with her and is always trying to help her do things (he likes to show us where her eyes are by poking them). He loves to tear apart the house, climb on everything, and get into everything. My favorite is how he loves to give hugs and kisses and tickles us.

Beach (during Disney week)

During our trip to Disneyland it was so nice that we decided to go to the beach. They had fun finding shells, digging in the sand, chasing birds, and Lucas loved jumping in the water with his clothes on. I had fun watching everyone and taking pictures.

DISNEYLAND!!

Have I ever told you how much we (I) love Disneyland! This year we decided to get a 6 day pass and I wish we could have stayed longer. Other than the LOOONG trip out there, the closet of a hotel room, and the dead battery when we tried to go home (thanks Jeff and Maya for rescuing us) we had a lot of fun. The kids each got their own day to pick 3 rides we had to go on. Grandpa Moss even came and got a Grandpa day. We also got to spend a few days with Breanne, Sophie, and Maya who were visiting family in California. The weather was so nice while we were there. I didn't want to come home.
I found the girls cute matching Candace shirts (at Walmart after the Black Friday sales). Isaac wore his Phineas and Ferb shirt when the girls wore their Candace shirts. I can't believe I forgot to get a picture of the 3 of them.
Grandpa Day!
Lucas was a little unsure of everything the first day, but caught on really quickly. He started really liking the rides, but was still a little leery of the characters.
Maddie is not afraid of anything. She loved the Princesses and every other character she came across. She would run up to them and hug them and play with them. She even volunteered to be in any show we came across. She danced in the Phineas and Ferb show twice and participated in the Toy Story show in front of lots of people.
She said Chip and Dale both burped in her face. Here is a picture of one of them burping.
Cousin Day!
Lucas and I got banished to the slow tea cup because I can't handle going as fast as the rest of them.
Did I mention that I love Disneyland? Especially during Christmas.

St. George for Thanksgiving

This year we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house in St. George for Thanksgiving. We wore them out playing pickle ball every night. Lucas even fell asleep for the first time waiting for dinner to be served. This was also the first year I didn't go out on Black Friday. I stayed up and shopped online instead. Apparantly I only love Lucas because I guess he is really the only one I got any pictures of while in St. George.
