Soccer!

Soccer is over for another year. They all had lots of fun playing and Maddie really surprised us spring season. She was a crazy aggressive girl in her games. She scored at least one goal in every game and even knocked her own teammates over to get the ball. Aubrey's team forgot to do pictures this year. Oh well.

Farm

Lucas LOVES animals. His favorite is horses and whenever he sees them he neighs and goes crazy (he does the same with cows). I decided to take him and Maddie to the farm with my friend and her son and Rachel and Hailey. There were so many babies! The kids all wanted to take a baby goat home, but we had to explain to them that they don't stay that cute. Lucas loved the animals, but from far away.

4th Grade Pioneer Day

Aubrey has been learning about Utah history this year and part of that has been about pioneers. A few weeks ago she got to dress up and be a pioneer for a day (it was tons easier than they had it though). She was put in a pioneer family and got to go around to different stations where they played games, made scones and fudge, went hunting, sewed, and all kinds of other fun pioneer things.

I was able to go help out at the fudge station. It was yummy and very messy. I had fun watching all of the kids and having to dress up wasn't all that bad either.

Sprinkler Fun

Kids always seem to think that when the temperature reaches 70 degrees it is time to go swimming. It actually reached 80 early this year so we let the kids have a little fun in the sprinklers. They were all hot from playing soccer all day anyways.

Maddie rides again

Maddie has been wanting to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels since last year. It got cold and snowy so I told her we would do it in the spring. She has a really good memory because the first day it was warm this spring she made us take her training wheels off. It took her one try and she was off. She is now onto a bigger bike than the one in the pictures and has many scrapes and bruises.

Easter

I really wish Aubrey would smile. Lucas was saying cheese in all of the pictures so his eyes were not open. Oh well so much for a nice Easter picture.
This year the Easter Bunny sent the kids on a treasure hunt for their baskets. They finally found them in the dryer. Lots of fun!

Baptism Day!

Popcorn!

Lucas absolutely loves the song Popcorn. For Christmas he got a cd that has fun kids songs. One night he decided he wanted to listen to it so he got a chair, turned on the cd player all by himself, and pushed play (Popcorn happens to be the first song). This is what happened:

Isaac turns 8!

Isaac is 8! He has been so excited to become a Scout. He got to go his first time on his actual birthday and even earned his Bobcat in his first few weeks.

Isaac chose to go bowling and play laser tag for his party. They all seemed to have a great time!

Water Cycle

Aubrey had to do a project showing the water cycle. She could do anything from a poster to a working model. She actually came up with this idea herself. It had a working sun (light bulb), precipitation (water through a tube), and a lake. I was very impressed.

Those Darn Leprechauns

This kids set several very creative traps this year, but we unable to catch any leprechauns. It think it made them angry though and they made a mess of our house. My least favorite was the ice cream all over the table, but the kids loved the green milk and all of the yummy candy they dropped.

Valentines Box

All of this moving and looking for houses and renting our house has made me neglect our poor blog. I am going to try to play catch-up.

This is Aubrey's cut box she (and I) made for her class Valentine's. First time I used a sewing machine to make crepe paper flowers. It turned out pretty cute
