Maddie the soccer star

I cannot tell you in words how cute Maddie was at her first soccer game. She has been so excited and practicing her kick for weeks now. She loves having her daddy as her coach and loved the halftime fruit and end of game treat. The first picture is of her before her first practice. I will have to ask her if she likes soccer or dance better.

First Day of 4th and 2nd Grade!

I cannot believe Nick and I have a 4th and 2nd grader! Please tell my kids to stop growing up! In about a week we will have a preschooler also. The kids love their teachers and loved the first week of school! Hopefully it stays that way.

Maddie ballerina

Maddie decided she wanted to try dance this summer. She had lots of fun and loved every minute of it. She is actually pretty good when she is paying attention. Her favorite part though was getting a trophy. Isn't she too cute!

Fun picture scavenger hunt date!

Here are a few pictures from our fun date with Nick's brother and a friend. We could have been more goofy, but we were on a time limit. (I also didn't realize the lens was so dirty). I loved how Nick told everyone in the dairy section that we like to picture document all the items we purchase. It was hilarious. There are more Nick pictures because his were better than mine. My favorite is of Nick trying to climb the tree. Oh and we lost by 3 minutes. Oh well.

Isaac's fish

Our wonderful neighbors and friends (well their Dad) took both Aubrey and Isaac fishing this summer. I thought they would be bored and not like it, but they both had a blast. Isaac even caught a fish. I think Aubrey came really close. Thanks neighbors!! We let them clean and keep the fish though. :)

Foam Day

Every summer our city has a foam day. They spray tons of gallons of bubbles onto the grass and let the kids have fun. The kids had fun, but there were way too many people. Maddie got lost and they all got soap in their eyes (so much for the goggles). They didn't start really having fun until they found an area outside the designated area that wasn't crowded or too deep. The best part was getting sprayed off by the fire truck oh and the free watermelon.

Six little ducks went out to play. . .

Our neighbors across the street had a bunch of ducklings this summer. One of the mama ducks with 5-6 ducklings decided that the grass was greener on the other side of the road in our yard. They ventured out every morning and every night. Aubrey even named the mama and ducklings (I think the mom was named Fifi, but I can't remember the rest). Lucas loved to watch them out our bedroom window and would squeal the whole time. After they were done feeding on bugs in our and our neighbors yards they would go back home. In the beginning there were I think 6 ducklings, but the last time we saw them there were only 4. One poor duckling got hit by a car and I hope the other ended up staying with another mommy duck. My kids were so sad, but it was fun watching them grow and eventually venture over to our house on their own.

Little Trouble Maker

I think the pictures explain it all. I need to take some of him climbing on everything. His new favorite things is to pull out the kitchen table chairs and use them to climb up on the table. He then stands there and waits for someone to find him. His favorite toys right now are all the vents in the house and my broom. Go figure!

Our Lucas turns 1!

Lucas' birthday bash was so much fun. I got a GREAT deal on an inflatable slide that the kids had a blast on. They even cried when the people came a picked it up at the end of the day. Lucas was teething, but he seemed to still have fun and he loved his cupcake and splashing in the pool. He didn't like the slide so much though.
I made this guy and then realized it looked just like Lucas so I put it on his cupcake.

So this video is old, but it was from when Lucas first started making this noise. It is my favorite! He now does it all the time and does something similar when he makes his doggy and monkey noises.

Baby Hailey

Auntie Rachel's baby Hailey was born on June 14th (4 days before Lucas' birthday) and weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long. She is such a doll and Lucas loves to point at the baby. He has already shown how much he loves her by trying to poke her eye out.
