Leaves

Can you spot the children? I love Fall! I don't love leaves. Since moving to Virginia I have never seen so many leaves in my life. We rake and bag and wake up the next morning to even more leaves on the ground. The kids have had lots of fun with them though and the colors on the trees are really pretty. After the storm we probably won't have to worry too much about trees anymore.

Gymnastics

Maddie is one of the most flexible people I know. She loves gymnastics and is very talented at it. She does cartwheels instead of  walking everywhere she goes. Now if only it would wear her out.

Zoo Fun

On Saturday (Nick's birthday) after watching a really good softball game (Aubrey had several awesome plays) we headed to the National Zoo. The kids and Nick had lots of fun!

This monkey was in an area where it roamed free. The worker told us that they never come out of the trees, but this one wanted to say hi to us. Never say never.
Nick got hungry along the way and decided to see what a chocolate tree tasted like. This tree reminded me of the one in the Dora episode where they sing "bate bate chocolate".

Happy birthday old man!! The zoo is getting ready for it's trick or treating and one of the displays just happened to be this one. I had to take a picture of the birthday boy by it. :)

Cupcakes!

For Nick's 35th birthday I made Heath Bar cupcakes for him to take to work. They were a big hit and tasted really yummy!! I want to try Snickers cupcakes next!

Fall Festival

Our church ward had a fall festival/trunk or treat. We ate yummy chili and corn bread and had lots of sugary snacks. My favorite part of the night was Lucas' candy choo choo train.

Lost Tooth

Maddie was soo excited to lose her first tooth on October 2nd 2012. She pulled it our herself! The Tooth Fairy brought her a Barbie Peek-A-Boo and $2.

Awesome Isaac

Isaac HAD to play soccer again this year. He said it was all he wanted to do (that and basketball). Nick is his coach again mostly because they didn't have anyone else to do it. Coach trusted Isaac to be goalie the second half of this last Saturdays game and guess what . . . he didn't let anyone score on him. (The first half there were 3 goals scored on them.) Isaac dove this way and that and caught every ball kicked toward his goal. Isaac is awesome!

 Look at that focus!
 And determination!
