Happy Birthday Kellie and Dennis!

On Sunday we celebrated Nick's sister and Dad's birthdays. Since Kellie loves to play soccer I made a soccer cake with one side that had 12 goals (for Kellie's age) and the other with lets just say many more goals (for Dennis' age). Happy Birthday guys!

Soccer Season

The kids soccer season has officially started! Nick is the assistant coach for both Aubrey and Isaac's teams. Between practices and games we will be very busy for the next few months.

Growing up

My little baby is growing up! Today was Aubrey's first day of 1st grade. It seems like just yesterday. . . okay so it was actually a very exciting day. Aubrey loves to learn and has been pretty bored this summer so school starting has been the best thing for her. She went to class pretty much on her own and even bought her own lunch today. Isaac and Madelyn on the other hand were pretty sad to see their sister gone, but Isaac will start preschool in a few weeks so he should be just fine. I guess I will just have to get used to building forts and playing soldiers or teach Madelyn how.

Wedding Cake!

I had to give Rachel's wedding cake it's own post. Whoever made it is so very talented (just kidding). I was really excited at how it turned out because I actually designed this one all by myself. It was a lot of work, but worth it. I'm not sure how people do more than one cake in a weekend. I think if I had a bigger oven or two, a huge fridge, and more counter space I might be able to do more.

Rachel's Wedding!

My sister Rachel is now a married woman! Her wedding was lots of fun and she looked gorgeous (thanks to Shelley). Oh and Jonathan was very handsome. I am so excited to now be related to the Virgin family! Now that it is all over I think I am going to sleep for a few days. Once we get pictures from the photographer I will post more.

Updates

It has taken me too long to update our blog so I am going to do a few in this one.

Our kids love their Aunt Casey and Uncle Jeff. They came over for dinner a few weeks ago and I took this picture of Gorilla Isaac and Jeff. It shows how much fun they had.



Aubrey finally lost her other front tooth. She got $1 and a tooth holder from the tooth fairy (after losing her tooth last time). She walks around singing "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth". I think she looks really cute and it reminds me how quickly she is growing up.


Aubrey took a summer Jazz/Hip Hip class. These pictures are from her final performance. They did a really cute dance to one of Hannah Montana's songs. They girls all did a really good job remembering the steps (the teacher didn't even help them). Aubrey was really excited that her Grandpa was there to see her.

Lagoon

A few weeks ago Nick's work had a Lagoon day. It was so much fun, but very hot. We got icees that died our tongues fun colors. The kids had lots of fun and they fed us pretty well too.
