San Francisco

This last weekend Nick and I left our kids and went to San Francisco for the weekend. It was so nice to get away being that we haven't been on a vacation together since before we had Aubrey. My parents were nice enough to come up and take care of our children, THANKS Mom and Dad! My parents did so much while we were gone (I'll pose about that later.) We did a lot of walking, eating, and shopping. We went to Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz, Wicked, Cheesecake Factory, and every store in downtown San Francisco. I found a few new favorite foods and Nick even bought me a necklace at Tiffany's (they have such pretty jewelry). Even though it rained the last two days it was still a lot of fun. Being there made me miss the weather out there (no snow), but I am glad to be home again. I've decided that we need to get away at least once a month now :) Okay, maybe at least once a year. Oh and Wicked was really really really good!!

It was a very nice hotel, but the view from the room was not so nice.Us trying not to fall asleep on Bart on the way to the airport.

So Proud

Aubrey's school has been doing a Storytelling Festival. She had to memorize and then get up in front of her class and tell a story. She chose the book Once Upon a Bad Hair Day, which is a take on Rapunzel and I thought way too hard for her. After much drama she finally memorized it and was chosen to go on to the next level (telling her story in front of 7 other 1st grade classes). Today Aubrey told her story in front of the 1st grade with 13 other kids. She did such a great job! Her teacher called this evening and told us that she had been chosen to go on to the final level!! Now she gets to tell her story to the WHOLE school next Thursday. I am so proud of her and nervous for her all at the same time. CONGRATULATIONS Aubrey!

Maddie Princess

As everyone now knows Madelyn LOVES princesses. She watches princess movies all day long, especially Cinderella (who she calls Rella). Tonight Nick asked Maddie who her favorite princess was and Maddie just said princess (meaning all of them). He then asked who is the prettiest princess out of Cinderella, Snow White, and Aurora (it is so cute when she says this name). Madelyn very quickly and in a very matter of fact way said "ME". All we could do was laugh. She is such a cute little princess.

Her hair is finally long enough to do something with. I am so excited!

We love Tavin!

Here are some really cute pictures of our nephew/cousin who stayed with us for a while. Maddie calls him Tanin.

The cat was actually yawning when I took this picture. It makes her look evil.

Wii have fun

It took me a long time to decide to get a Wii for our family. Our kids kept begging for one and I am glad I finally gave in. The kids and especially Nick pay the Wii all the time. Nick seems to love the Wii Fit and uses it nightly. Almost every Sunday we take it with us to Nick's parents house and have lots of fun playing it. Isaac is really good at bowling. He challenges everyone who will play him and usually wins! He really gets into it as you can see in the following pictures.

Yoga

Right now I am watching Madelyn copy Nick while he is doing yoga on the Wii. Maddie is such a funny child. She is constantly entertaining us and making us laugh. I wish you could be here and watch her as well. She is so cute!
