Zoo

We took a trip last weekend to the Zoo because we got free tickets from the library. Thanks library! It was such a nice day and the animals were pretty active because it wasn't too hot. We so many cute monkeys and we were even able to see the gorilla Muke (I think that is her name) who has cancer and not much time left. It was fun listening to how Madelyn would pronounce the names of each animal. My favorite was gwen for penguin. The kids especially like the Zebras because they were playing follow the leader (they did this the whole time we were watching them.) Actually their favorite was playing on the playground at the end. All those animals and they like the slides the best. Oh well! Oh, and if you go, don't go into the white alligator house. He is gone and no one has bothered to put a sign on the outside door.

Aquarium

A few pictures from our trip to the Aquarium last week. We went to see the new exhibit and had lots of fun as we always do. The kids even got to pick something from the gift shop this time.

Isaac's Mad Science Party and 100th post!!

Today was Isaac's Mad Science Birthday Party. It was so much fun. The best part was Grandpa Moss who was our Mad Scientist. He showed the kids lots of experiments and he even dressed up! The kids made test tube pixie stix necklaces, volcanoes, silly putty, goop, ate volcano cakes, and much more. Here are some pictures from the party.

Happy BIRTHDAY Isaac!

Isaac is one of the most creative children I have ever met. He is constantly drawing, painting, or building something. He makes me the most creative pictures and jewelry out of paper. He also loves to build forts and has a very vivid imagination. We are so lucky to have Isaac in our family!! Happy Birthday!

Here are a few pictures from Isaac opening presents today. He got a new pet dinosaur that attacks. He had fun making it attack Dad.

Storytelling

Aubrey was so nervous this morning when she told her story in front of the K-3 students at her school. She did such a good job though and we are very proud of her. If nothing else it was a great learning experience.

Sorry this is so quiet! Hopefully you can hear it!

My awesome parents

While gone to San Francisco my parents came up to take care of our kids. Not only did they take care of our kids, but they did so much more. My dad built shelves in our cold storage and put together our swing set. My mom managed to get the kids to clean their rooms and cleaned the whole house. Thanks so much for letting us go away together and for taking such good care of our kids.
My dad is so talented. Now I just have to put stuff on the shelves.

San Francisco

This last weekend Nick and I left our kids and went to San Francisco for the weekend. It was so nice to get away being that we haven't been on a vacation together since before we had Aubrey. My parents were nice enough to come up and take care of our children, THANKS Mom and Dad! My parents did so much while we were gone (I'll pose about that later.) We did a lot of walking, eating, and shopping. We went to Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz, Wicked, Cheesecake Factory, and every store in downtown San Francisco. I found a few new favorite foods and Nick even bought me a necklace at Tiffany's (they have such pretty jewelry). Even though it rained the last two days it was still a lot of fun. Being there made me miss the weather out there (no snow), but I am glad to be home again. I've decided that we need to get away at least once a month now :) Okay, maybe at least once a year. Oh and Wicked was really really really good!!

It was a very nice hotel, but the view from the room was not so nice.Us trying not to fall asleep on Bart on the way to the airport.
