So this post will be out of order, but I really wanted to get these pictures on here so my family could see our old house in Brentwood.

This last Thursday I was able to get away (thanks to Nick and his parents) so that I could see old friends and go to my 10-year high school reunion. I could not believe how much my little town has changed. There are now houses and stores where fields and orchards used to be (very sad). The minute we drove on the new bypass on our way home from the airport I felt lost. While out there I did get to see friends who I haven't seen in 5 years. We ate, laughed, and ate some more (I should have taken pictures). I was also able to drive down our old dirt road (which I was amazed to see still there being that every other dirt road is now paved and goes through the whole town) and see my childhood home. The house is still the same, but there are no more trees on the 2 acres. The house that used to be in the middle of nowhere is starting to be engulfed by new much larger homes.

All I can say to describe my reunion is interesting. I think there were only a handful of us who were sober and not falling all over the place or other people. It was fun chatting with old friends at the beginning, but as the night went on no one was sober enough to really talk to anymore. I did have fun talking with my friends who were sober though (I wish more of my friends could go, but maybe they were just smarter than me and didn't want to go). I do not miss high school at all!

July 4th Celebrations

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

Even though I was still feeling horrible from my bad case of strep (I wasn't contagious) I decided to go with my family and the Virgins to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. I am so glad I did and I actually felt pretty good for those few hours we were there. It was so pretty and we could feel the Spirit so strongly. The kids were very well behaved and Maddie kept saying "oooh pretty lights".

Gymnastics and swimming

In order to keep my kids somewhat entertained this summer I decided to sign them up for gymnastics. They have both been in gymnastics before and loved it. I found this cute place in Lehi (not the Legacy Center) that is pretty inexpensive and the teachers are great! Here are a few pictures from their adventures in gymnastics.

I also signed the kids up for swimming lessons this summer. Not just to keep them busy, but because I am getting tired of having to save Isaac from drowning everytime we go swimming. He thinks he can swim and is a little too brave. The lessons just ended yesterday and the kids learned quite a bit. Aubrey learned more than Isaac, but I think it is the age. She also got to skip level 1 on the first day and went straight to level 2.

Summer Fun!

Chuck E. Cheese's and Cupcakes

A few weeks ago my sister had a party for my niece and nephew at Chuck E Cheese. It has been a long time since we have been and the kids were very excited. We all had such a great time! Even Nick had fun playing all of the games and won lots of tickets. My nephew loves basketball and had so much fun playing it the whole time. He was so cute to watch. My sister made cupcakes for her son (I can't get the picture to work) and I made cupcakes for her daughter. They all turned out really cute.
